In this experiment, we investigated the role of the condition of the firewood. The same plant as in the experiments described previously were used. 20 branches were put for ten days into water, 20 branches were put for the same period in the sun and 20 branches were stored in the cave. For the experiments the same conditions as in the upper written one were chosen. All 20 branches, either the wet or the dry one, were thrown into the fire and the reaction of the flames were observed. The results were very surprising. We could show that wet firewood is detrimental to fire. Using wet wood led to the death of the flames. Using the firewood stored in the cave the results agreed with the results obtained previously. But using the very dry firewood, which laid in the sun for ten days, its effect on fire was magnificent. The flames went straight to heaven for approximately 1 to 2 m and the fire kept burning for twice the time it did when normal firewood was used.
