We hear or see the words “Global Warming” on every corner. But do we really know what is meant by global warming? To begin by introducing the facts. Our climate is warming and this does have mostly negative impacts. Some suspicious minds could think what has often been said, i.e. that the recent warming is a part of the natural increases and decreases of Earth’s temperature that happen since ages. But if we look at these ups and downs in the past, we can clearly see that the present increase of temperature is far exceeding all the highest temperatures of the past. What is causing this increase? We note that begin of industrialization matches with begin of the temperature increase. We must agree that greenhouse gases, produced by burning fossil fuels, are only plausible explanation for the temperature increase.
