I think the brain deal with the word is faster than the color, should be responsible.

Similar task:

The participants are presented with direction arrow (only four directions , up, down, left, right).

In one condition: The participants should say the direction which the arrow is pointed out.

In second condition: No matter which direction the arrow is pointed out, the participant should say out loud the next direction in clockwise. For example, when the direction arrow is up, the participants should say “right”.

Each participant will go through and record a time for each condition.
