run nmake.exe from VS command line tool.
Start Menu --> All Programs --> Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 --> Visual Studio Tools --> Visual Studio Command Prompt (2010)
Go to a folder which has a makefile rule file;
run nmake.exe clean
run nmake [-f makefile]
