VMware虚拟化技术之四vSphere Web Client配置和管理

vSphereWeb Client是基于浏览器的VMware管理工具,能够监控并管理VMware基础设施,在vSphere5.5中,所有新的vSphere功能只能通过vSphere Web Client使用。
VMware 已经过测试,支持以下客户机操作系统和vSphere Web Client 的浏览器版本:

vSphere Web Client 要求在您的浏览器中安装Adobe Flash Player 11.5.0 或更高版本以及适当的插件。

右键vCenter,新建数据中心。

输入数据中心名称。

创建好数据中心后,右键数据中心,选择新建群集。

输入群集名称,可在此步骤中选择是否开启群集的DRS、HA、EVC、VSAN功能,由于此次环境未配置SSD磁盘,所以只开启DRS和HA功能。

完成群集创建后,右键群集,添加主机。

输入ESXi主机名称或IP地址,下一步。

安装上面添加主机的方法,将另一台ESXi主机也添加该群集。

点击群集右键,新建资源池。

将虚拟机移至资源池中。

勾选打开DRS,在下方可根据自己的需求对DRS自动化功能进行进一步细化调整。

注:在vSphere5出来后,在web client中可在无共享存储的情况对虚拟机进行主机迁移,原理就是将一台主机本地磁盘的虚拟机拷贝到另一台主机的本地磁盘,虚拟机越大拷贝的时间就越长。
选择要迁移的虚拟机,右键迁移。

选择迁移的类型为主机。

选择资源池,并勾选“允许此群集内进行主机选择”,这里要注意如果不勾选这个选项,则无法选择指定的主机进行迁移。

选择目的主机,下一步。

在右边近期任务,可以查看到迁移的进度,等待完成迁移。

完成迁移后,可以看见PAD这台虚拟机已经从10.1.32.10这台主机迁到10.1.32.11这台主机上。

点击主机右键,重新引导主机,点击确定。

此时PAD虚拟机已经通过vSphere HA功能迁移到了10.1.32.10主机上并重启。

创建数据中心和集群

右键vCenter,新建数据中心。

虚拟机迁移
要做虚拟机迁移,前提条件是首先需要为每台ESXi主机配置vmotion网络和共享存储。如何配置vmotion网络和共享存储可以回顾到第三章的网络和存储配置。注:在vSphere5出来后,在web client中可在无共享存储的情况对虚拟机进行主机迁移,原理就是将一台主机本地磁盘的虚拟机拷贝到另一台主机的本地磁盘,虚拟机越大拷贝的时间就越长。
选择要迁移的虚拟机,右键迁移。

点击主机右键,重新引导主机,点击确定。
