Cloud, computing-cores, and dock…

Just
took a short look at the video of Motorola Atrix on CES2011. It is
so much impressive, and I believe it is a revolutionary product.
No doubt it is a very strong
smartphone, but quite much more
than a smartphone. I somehow can even see the future development
direction of
smart/portable device.

It could be a killer of the old-style webtop, and
even laptop, Tablet, PC. I am guessing.

We know, PC, laptop, WebTop, and even tablet are
too much heavy and big-sized to be brought in a trip. A traditional
smartphone is with relative big-sized screen, but the screen size
is still too small, and usually the keyboard is not
so convenience to be used. A
tablet like iPAD/XOOM is a compromise solution, but I still do not
think it is not the best solution. Personally, I prefer to thinking
Motorola Atrix looks give the best solution.

Maybe later people will have such a similar-sized
core device which is the actual mobile computing
center. When you need big screen, you just need plug them
into TV or other such kind external device, and
then you will have a big-screen powerful PC.

I am thinking maybe later, there still are
net-bars. But the working mode is changed; there is no PC, but only
external devices like big-sized screen, and keyboard, and a
smart-core-device docker or sockets. You go to a net-bar, usually
you bring your smart/portable device, and then plug in
& play there, without need any concern to
protecting your privacy and information leaking. And also in
schools, libraries, no PC will be provided later, instead dockers
will be there for your using, just bring your smart
devices.

In this sense, Atrix is a powerful Android phone,
but it is beyond the android OS, and the idea is really
new.
