How to Check for 32 or 64 Bit Fedora

Even if your computer supports 64-bit operating systems, 32-bit operating systems install and run normally. Some software programs have different packages or installation instructions for the 32- and 64-bit versions of Fedora, so you'll need to check what
version you're using if you can't remember what version you installed. The default installation of Fedora uses the GNOME desktop environment, which includes a tool that displays information about your system's hardware and software.

Instructions

#1 Click the "System" menu at the top of the Fedora desktop and click "About This Computer."

#2 Click the "System" tab at the top of the System Monitor window.

#3 Read the information line starting with "Kernel" in the window. If the line contains "x86_64," you're using the 64-bit version of Fedora. If the line contains "i686" or another similar number starting with "i," you're
using the 32-bit version of Fedora.
