关于S5PV210 LVDS/VGA等方案的考虑——关于SDA7123和ch7034的性价比分析

在S5PV210 的一些VGA 驱动芯片方案上，很多人用的都是SDA7123 ，也有少数开发板和方案公司今年用了ch7034 这颗芯片。刚才和一位用ch7034 芯片的网友谈起ch7034的价格问题，以及和SDA7123 的区别等。学习了一些东西，现在来和大家学习分享一下。

首先是SDA7123 是不带缓存的芯片，直接DA的，ch7034 是带缓存的芯片，自然SDA7123 10 RMB出头的批量价格和ch7034 的30 RMB左右的价格，有很强大的优势，但是那位兄弟介绍了一下他用ch7034 做的产品的一些特性，让我感觉我下一个POS机器方案用ch7034 比较合适。

下面是ch7034 的特性

不仅仅是支持VGA输出，也支持LVDS和HDTV输出，功能要比SDA7123 强不少啊。

还有下面 的信息更让人惊喜



With its embedded high speed SDRAM, the CH7034B

can help manufactures design their products to achieve

simultaneous LVDS and HDTV/VGA display. Thanks to

the sophisticated scaler, the input LCD data with low

resolution or reduced-frame rate can be covert to high

quality HDTV or VGA display without extra loading on

the processor. Also, by taking the advantage of the

framebuffer, the scaler can perform other image

manipulations including resizing and rotation.

上面的意思是说这个LVDS可以和VGA或者LVDS和HDTV 同时输出，这样就可以做双显示了。BTW，HDTV和VGA是不能同时输出的啊。呵呵。

有了这个SDRAM scaler ，我们就可以输入低分辨率的图像也能经过ch7034输出 高分辨率的HDTV或者VGA 图像，BTW，LVDS是没有scaler的，所以就是输入啥就是输出啥，只是一个信号转换而已。不过这个信息表明，我们可以做双显示了，比如LVDS和VGA，LVDS和HDTV大分辨率双显。

来看看SDA7123 的一些描述

SDA7123 是三路 10 位视频 D/A转换器，分别完成R（红） 、G（绿） 、B（兰）

信号转换，电流型输出，绿通道可带同步信号输出。它的数据更新频率 MSPS

为 140MHz，SDA7123 内带 1.23V 基准，工作温度范围宽(-40～+85℃)，它采用

QFP 型48线方形扁平封装。适用于数字视频系统、图像处理、仪器、高精度显

示器、视频信号重建等系统中，可与ADV7123替换使用。 该产品广泛用于数字视频系统(1600x1200@100HZ)、高分辨率的彩色图片、

数字射频调制、图像处理、仪器、视频信号再现。



SDA7123 就单纯的DAC转换，没有SDRAM scaler，所以输入什么分辨率给SDA7123 ，SDA7123 就输出什么分辨率，这个适合一般的场合了。不过SDA7123 比较便宜，只要不用到特殊的LVDS和VGA双显，这个片子还是很有商业价值的。还是工业级的温度呢。

SDA7123 的驱动调试也比较容易点，直接调试S5PV210 之类的LCD控制器就可以了。不过分辨率就不能scaler了。呵呵，分辨率由ARM输出的分辨率决定小于1600x1200@100HZ 就没啥问题了。
