The feature takes advantage of the power management features built into Windows to apply relevant and consistent settings to computers in the organization. Different power settings can be applied to computers during business hours and non business hours. For example, it might be acceptable to apply a more restrictive power plan to computers during non business hours. In cases where computers must always remain turned on, you can prevent power management settings from being applied.
Below are the steps needed to get Power Management enabled in your environment.
1) Notice that we now have a Power Management tab on our collections if we right click and choose modify collection settings.  These fields are grayed out since Power Management is not enabled.

2) go to your client agent settings and you will notice a new agent called Power management Client Agent.  After you enable this setting you can set power management settings on collections.

3) We now have the ability to modify the collection settings.  This specific collection is for all windows 7 systems in which we are setting a power plan of balanced and a wakeup time of 6:00AM.

4) KB977384RCTP2 must be applied to all client systems in order to use Power Management to manage client systems.
5) SRS Reports are provided and need to be imported.  These can be found on your site server in your installation folder under the reports folder. You should see a signed cab file like the below screenshot.

6) In the console right click your reporting services point node and select Copy Reports to Reporting Services.

7) Select your data source and click next

8) Supply credentials for connecting.

9) Choose import reports from a signed cabinet file and select the cab file MicrosoftReportPack.cab

10)  Select next

11) Select next to confirm

12) 18 New Power management reports should have been imported and are now able to be used…

13) Lastly a new tool is available called Power Viewer which allows you to view power settings daily activity graphs and power events on a per machine basis.  This tool is included in the R3 installation source files under the tools folder.
