Use lag and lead time
This project requires a two-day gap between Task 1 and Task 2, and Task 3 should begin when Task 2 is half finished. To set this up, first I add lag time to Task 2, I select Task 2, and then click Task Information. On the Predecessors tab, I enter 2 days of lag time in the Lag column for the predecessor. Next I add lead time to Task 3 so that it will begin when Task 2 is half finished. I select Task 3, and then select Task Information, on the Predecessors tab; I enter negative 50% in the Lag column for the predecessor and then click OK. On the Gantt Chart view, I can now see the two-day gap between Task 1 and Task 2, and Task 3 when task 2 is half finished.
