How to edit init.rc in Android?

init.rc is really part of the ramdisk image (included in boot.img with the kernel image).
You need to regenerate a new ramdisk + boot image for this to work. There is no way to modify this file after boot.
After "out/host/linux-x86/bin/mkbootimg
--kernel xxxx/bsp/prebuilt/target/images/zImage
--ramdisk
out/target/product/XXXX/ramdisk.img
-o out/target/product/XXXX/boot.img
",
user can get
out/target/product/XXXX/boot.img
