It is not so difficult to migrate a cube under Windows NT platfrom to a Solaris platform.
1. Start Essbase Server and Adiministration Services in the Windows enviroment;
2. Open Administration Services Console and create two servers, one with the NT ip and the other with Solaris ip;
3. Go to the Solaris platform and start startEssbase.sh command to start Essbase server;
4. Come back to NT and connect to the two servers through the console;
5. Right click an application in the NT envrioment and copy it. Then a dialog prompts out;
6. In the "server" drop down list, choose the Solaris ip;
7. Click OK and it is really OK.
After all the applications are migrated from NT to Solaris, we have to reload data into the databases because when migrating, data won't be migrated together.
