Ubuntu 8.10（Intrepid Ibex）软件源设置

代号为IntrepidIbex的Ubuntu8.10将在10月30日正式发布，相信又会有不少的Windows用户将会尝试Ubuntu8.10的那个窗外的用户体验。对于Ubuntu的中国用户来说，似乎在安装Ubuntu完成后都会先修改软件源为中国内服务器上的源，这样以较快的速度进行更新系统下载中文语言包、中文输入法以及别的应用软件。

也许Ubuntu的老用户看了会说OwnLinux在开始谈论一个“古老的话题”了，是的设置软件源似乎是一个老生常谈的问题了，但是每次Ubuntu的发布正式版后都会有大量的问题搜索源相关的问题，这一点看看OwnLinux上的源设置的那两篇文章的点击量就知道了。其实在Ubuntu8.14里和以前的Ubuntu发行版中设置软件源的方法是一样的。Ubuntu8.10(IntrepidIbex)正式版即将发行了，问到这个问题的人也不少,今就再谈一下在Ubuntu8.10(IntrepidIbex)里修改源的方法，之前本站的原创团队成员幻星之孤独曾写过一篇叫《细说UbuntuLinux软件源》的文章，笔者也写了一篇《Ubuntu8.04LTS(HardyHeron)软件源设置指南》的文章方法一样内容也差不多。不清楚具体方法的朋友可以去参考一下那两篇文章.

备份软件源:
sudocp/etc/apt/sources.list/etc/apt/sources.list_backup
很多人都会说这一步很多余，但是一旦你的软件源出了问题恢复一下不是更容易吗？笔者也遇到过几次有人问我想恢复到默认时候的源怎么办？其实在Linux中很多设置都是修改配置文件来进行的，让初学者从开始接触Linux就学习备份设置不是一样很好的事吗？建议Linux初学者养成操作前先备份的习惯。
编辑软件源:
sudogedit/etc/apt/sources.list
从下面列表中选择合适的源(注意：一定要选和你的系统一致的版本8.10、8.04、7.10、7.04、6.10、6.06)，替换掉文件中内容，保存编辑好的文件
更新软件源:
sudoapt-getupdate
推荐软件源:
建议电信用户选择CN99的软件源（目前电信用户使用最普及的，速度快而且稳定），网通用户使用台湾大学的软件源，教育网用户使用厦门大学的软件源。注意：不同的网络状况连接以下源的速度不同,所以cn99并不一定是最快的源,建议在添加前手动验证以下源的连接速度(ping下就行),比如说北京网通ADSL用户连接cn99就非常慢,而ftp.sjtu.edu.cn是相对较快的源,选择最快的源可以节省大批下载时间

使用PPA软件源的方法也很简单，你把你想要的软件相应的PPA软件源列表加sources.list的最后就可以了。但是，笔者不建议大家马所有的PPA软件源都加上，因为PPA软件源的服务器在海外这样会在一定程序上影响你的更新速度。以上只列举一部分PPA软件源，如果你需要更多的PPA软件源请下载UbuntuTweak,使用UbuntuTweak中的“第三方源”的功能，图形界面的设置会让你上手更方便。
