Missing to update my blog in the past two days. There is no excuse.
My Boss, Jen, is a female who is grown in Astratlia. She is crazy on her job. After working with her for 4 months, I realized what crazy style can be. However, I really understand why she does so, 'coz she works very effeciently and effectively.
Jen always give me these hints - Fast, Beautiful & Effective. She can stand on the higher point to view the problems. She once told me try to grasp the Big Picture. Not just touch the point. I know this, but only after I took this job and then I began to realize what it should be. She performs as a great play in the game. Grasp the Big Picture, Group the related issues, Shoot at them one by one.
Take an example, for the Test Defect (TD) fixing round, she taught me how to allocate the source in our team, such as from high to low priority, then, if the hard ones can be fixed after 2 hours investigation, then let's move on. Don't waste our time. (It is always possible for us to spend too much time on hard ones.) So, Jen's way really works in our team.
My understanding of the hints:
Fast -- Try to accomplish the task ASAP even though you may have a lot of constraints, eliminate the constraints & think about how to resolve them; Don't wait, it may just waste time...
Beautiful - Accomplish the task as the requirement, don't cause another fire...
Effective -- If you have resource, let everybody work hard to resolve the problems. Work together & Play together. Then we can empower everyone's potential & capabilities.
I am trying to work like that. It's funny & challenge! I would like to say:
I love too.
Keep on moving...
